Teaching Portfolio
Bridging the gap between classical design theory, AI integration, and student employability.
Accomplishments
After 15 years in academia and running a profitable design agency, I've been able to get a few things done:
Founded Graphic Design Programs
- Hired to found the graphic design program at Charleston Southern University.
- Wrote curriculum for more than 18 courses all achieving SACSCOC accreditation approval.
- Grew the design program from 15 students to 120.
- Coordinated design minors with schools of Communication, Comp-Sci and Business.
Setup over 100 Design Internships
- Personally connected with dozens of SMBs and design agencies throughout South Carolina and other states. Over 80% of all internships were paid.
- Mentored numerous students to found design agencies that grossed over $100k revenue in their first year.
Planned and led 4 off-campus courses
Created and led a team of design students to study art and culture in Nepal, Thailand and Switzerland.
Each course was 3 credit hours and spanned 7-12 days focusing on a range of artistic and cultural issues through the medium of photo-journalism.
